Origin & Growing Region

Oolong Guifei is a Taiwanese specialty Oolong variety, grown and processed in Bao Loc plateau, Lam Dong (900-1,000m altitude). Here, the temperate climate, fog cover, and nutrient-rich basalt soil help the tea leaves to be thick, glossy green and rich in nutrients. The special feature of Guifei is that the young tea leaves are lightly bitten by green aphids, activating the natural fermentation process, creating an attractive aroma of honey and ripe fruit.

2. Harvesting

Usually harvested in late spring or summer, when the green leafhoppers appear. Standard hand picking is 1 bud with 2–3 leaves, choosing leaves with a light bite rate of 10–30% of the area – enough to stimulate the flavor while still ensuring the quality of the leaves.

3.
