1. Origin & growing area
Dong Dinh Oolong is made from pure Oolong, grown at an altitude of over 1000m in Lam Dong tea plateau. Here the climate is cool all year round, fog covers the early morning, and fertile red basalt soil helps the tea trees accumulate pure and sharp flavor.
2. Harvesting
Tea is harvested year-round, but is best in autumn – early winter when the weather is cool, the tea buds are thick and accumulate the most aroma. The picking method is 1 bud, 2-3 leaves, reaching the right maturity, ensuring a balance between aroma and taste.
3. Processing procedure
Harvesting → Withering → Roasting → Stir-frying to kill yeast → Shaping → Finished product drying → Refining
In the refining step, the tea is re-fired – a drying technique using gentle heat and a long time, helping the flavor become clear but sharp, while increasing stability during storage.
4. Taste & Feel
Dong Dinh Oolong has a clear, sharp aroma typical of fire-loving tea, combined with a distinct sweet aftertaste. The initial aroma is light like the mountain breeze, then bursts with sharpness, leaving a long aftertaste on the palate.
5. How to mix
Use 7-8g of tea for 150ml of water.
Water temperature: 90–95°C.
Rinse the tea quickly to wake up the leaves.
Hold for 25-30 seconds the first time, gradually increasing the time thereafter.
Can be mixed with 6-8 waters and still retain the flavor.
6. Storage
Avoid light, moisture and strange smells. Store in a sealed tin or ceramic jar. If using for a long time, can be refrigerated. Best within 6–10 months after opening (unopened keeps the flavor for up to 18 months).
