Kim Tuyen Oolong Tea – Prelude to Aroma and Taste

1. Origin & Growing Region

Oolong Kim Tuyen is a famous oolong variety from Taiwan. When brought to Bao Loc plateau – Lam Dong, it has grown strongly and retained its distinctive flavor. Bao Loc is located at an altitude of 800-1,000m above sea level , cool all year round with an average temperature of 18-22°C . During the day, gentle sunlight spreads evenly over the tea hills; at night, cold air penetrates each leaf, helping the tea buds accumulate nutrients and aroma.

This land has fertile, porous and mineral-rich basalt soil – ideal conditions for tea trees to grow healthily, with plump buds, thick leaves and a sweet aftertaste. Thanks to the temperate climate, early morning fog, and fresh water from the mountains and forests, Bao Loc is known as the “tea capital of the world” , where the most delicious tea varieties converge.

2. Harvesting
Only buds that meet the standard of 1 bud and 3-4 leaves are selected to make Kim Tuyen Oolong. This is the ideal young age to help balance the freshness, sweet aftertaste and leaf thickness. The pickers quietly walk on the hill in the morning mist, skillfully caressing each bud, ensuring uniformity in size and quality – as if touching the pure breath of heaven and earth.

3. Oolong production process
Harvesting → Withering → Roasting → Stir-frying to kill yeast → Shaping → Finished product drying → Refining

4. Taste & Feel

5. When brewed, the tea blooms evenly, with a honey-yellow color and green tint. The fragrance is like the early spring breeze sweeping through a field of wildflowers. The taste is sweet, smooth, and has a long aftertaste, leaving a feeling of purity and nostalgia.

5. How to mix
