1. Origin & Growing Region

Oolong Tu Quy is a hybrid oolong variety bred from pure oolong trees in Taiwan, famous for its strong growth, year-round greenness and distinctive aroma. When brought to Bao Loc – Lam Dong plateau at an altitude of 800-1,000m, the tea tree grows steadily in a temperate climate, with an average temperature of 18-22°C, fog covering the morning and cold nights.
Bao Loc’s fertile, mineral-rich red basalt soil helps Tu Quy tea achieve plump buds, thick leaves, rich floral aroma and deep aftertaste. It is no exaggeration to say that this place is the “tea capital of the world” – the cradle of many premium tea lines.

2. Harvesting

Although Tu Quy can be harvested all year round, artisans only choose tea during transitional seasons, typically the Coc Vu season in early summer and Bach Lo season in late autumn, when the climate and soil have clearly changed. The buds chosen are 1 bud with 3 healthy, even leaves, picked early in the morning when the sun has not yet risen to preserve the full aroma and flavor.

3. Oolong production process

Harvesting → Withering → Roasting → Stir-frying to kill yeast → Shaping → Finished product drying → Refining

4. Taste & Feel

The tea water is golden and smooth like amber, with a strong aroma of roses and ripe honey. The tea flavor is balanced, well-rounded, both clear and thick. Tea picked during the Coc Vu season often has a strong aroma, golden water, and a thick, ripe aftertaste; while tea picked during the Bach Lo season is lighter, with a light floral aroma, clear water, and a bright, sweet aftertaste. It can be summed up in eight words: deep aroma, thick flavor, bright water, and lasting color.
