1. Origin
Shan Tuyet white tea – one of the famous precious tea varieties of Vietnam, grows in the high mountains of the North (average altitude 1,200–1,400m). The tea is harvested from ancient trees over 100 years old, standing amidst the clouds and cool climate all year round. The outstanding feature is the young buds covered with a thick layer of white hair, looking like snow – hence the name “Shan Tuyet”.
2. Harvesting
Hand-picked, only the young tea buds are selected , plump and have smooth white hairs. Shan Tuyet tea can be harvested all year round, but spring and autumn are the best times for the tea, fully converging the aroma and sweetness of the mountains and forests.
3. Processing procedure
Harvesting → Withering → Gently drying to preserve chlorophyll → Manual screening → Vacuum packaging. The processing is done gently, preserving the silver green color of the leaves, the pure aroma and the characteristic sweet taste.
4. Storage
Avoid light, moisture and strange smells. Store in a sealed tin or ceramic jar. If using for a long time, can be refrigerated. Best within 6–10 months after opening (unopened keeps the flavor for up to 18 months).
